This review is very tardy. I've been coming to Brio for years. I typically come here about once a quarter. Food and service is always spot on! I love the outdoor dining, especially because of the large comfy chairs. (white flimsy plastic chairs from China begone!) Food. Yes this is an Italian joint but they do a stellar steak, and it's sublime with the gorgonzola crust. I love the lasagna and the chicken piccata also. Chopped Salad and wedge salad are also the tops There are always deals you can sign up for on brio.com . The happy hour deal for drinks and appetizers is great, I haven't been but the bar is always crowded. It's not the cheapest place in town but you can always count on having a nice upscale delicious Italian meal.

This restaurant is Olive Garden's more accomplished sibling. A more refined dining experience, more dedicated service, and higher quality food. The ambiance is nice, and the menu has some great seasonal offerings. It's a nice authentic Italian dining experience.

We went with a company of more than 40. Service was really slow: that's understandable considering the party was large but their food was just bland tasting. We ordered calamari which was fine but Mediterranean grill shrimp was just poorly made and it lacked any flavor what so ever. Was kind of disappointed as we have heard so much.

Predicable food~ a little expensive. I got a pasta dish and my boyfriend got the chicken milanese, which was chicken parm- not the titled dish. The caprese salad was great though! Maybe try red meat~ the chicken seemed like it frozen... I'd be interested to be there for their happy hour.

Let me start off by saying that every time I am in Orlando, I always try and visit Brio in Winter Park - not only because of the great food - but because of the sentimental value it has for me. So we got to Brio around 12:20 on a Sunday. We were seated right away and the waitress took our drink order. My mom was feeling adventurous and ordered a Singapore Sling from the bar. The waitress brought it out and had her taste it. It was horrible. She admitted the bartender didn't know what it was and looked it up on Google. We ordered the bruschetta sampler as our appetizer. After waiting quite some time (the kitchen was running very slow) the bruschetta came out with mom's wedge side salad (even though ordered separately). The bruschetta had wonderful taste, but the texture of the cheese that was only partially melted on some of them made it difficult to want to finish. Mom ordered the Lasagna for lunch and I opted for the country ham eggs benedict. Again, we waited for a LONG time for it to come. When it finally came, I stared at mine in disbelief. I will post a photo too. Ummm, I asked the waitress, "Are they now considering bacon country ham?" She looked at it and said, "That's not ham is it?" We both looked at The menu again and it never mentioned bacon. She asked if I wanted to send it back and I said - well, no because if I have to wait for it to be redone, she will be finished. A few moments later the manager came over and said, "I hear there's a problem here?" I showed him the lack of ham and he literally said ... Are you sure there is no ham... I lifted up my poached egg and showed him - just bacon. He too offered to get me a different brunch order - but I was HUNGRY! As the bill came, I thought for sure my breakfast would be compted - but nope, Brio decided that a slow kitchen and the wrong meal looked over by the waitress and manager was fine. I guess me and Brio have officially parted ways. Customer Service obviously isn't job #1 at this Brio. Btw - try and find the hollandaise sauce on my Eggs Benedict.

It's a corporate place, you get what you pay for. Food was mediocre and a bit over priced. I know I know, it's a corporate or chain type restraint, I just thought it might be better than that.

I went here for a corporate lunch with 14 of my coworkers, and the service was fairly decent, all things considered. The food, albeit pricey for the portion given, is absolutely delicious. I had the risotto which had asparagus, chicken, sweet potato, and pine nuts in it. It was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten, but I was disappointed at the amount of food provided for the cost. It came with a salad, but I wish they could've just provided a larger amount of the main entrÃ©e. The interior is sophisticated, and the tables can be set up nicely to fit large groups. Definitely a good date night location. In terms of parking, it's a little limited right in front of the restaurant (parallel parking), but you can always park further down and just walk down the block. All in all I recommend Brio if you're looking for tasty, high quality food, but just know that it's going to cost more for less food than you might expect.

Two of my friends along with a 4 year old headed to Brio the other night for dinner. I had only eaten here once before at a Yelp event so I was interested in trying it. After seeing that there was CrÃ¨me Brulee as part of the Art of Grilling, 3 course dinner, I decided on that deal. Our waiter took my first two courses and said he'd wait until later to get my dessert choice. I had the Caesar salad for my first course and it was a huge serving! Definitely not just a side salad size. Yum! For the entrÃ©e I had the steak medallions with black pepper shrimp. I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were a little plain but that was okay. When it was time to order dessert, he informed us that they no longer had crÃ¨me brulee. Nooooo. That was the thing I was most excited about. I didn't like the other two choices and asked if I could substitute. At first, he said no so after hemming and hawing for a few minutes, I decided not to have any dessert since I don't like making a big deal out of things. The waiter then said that he wasn't supposed to substitute but if I liked another option, he would do it for me. So I chose the molten lava cake. The manager also came over with a card for a complimentary crÃ¨me brulee on our next visit and reiterated the offer of any dessert as a substitute. And the lava cake was quite delicious! So even though they ran out of part of a deal, the waiter and manager provided great guest service and the situation was resolved quickly.

The ambiance Is perfect. Who doesn't love winter park? The food is tasty and the desserts (creme brulee) is worth going for. We did have a large party and had to request our server to be found a couple of times. Service should be readily available at all times. Overall though wonderful dining option.

Ordered the shrimp and lobster linguine and it was delicious. I'm Indian and need some spice in my food and it out did it! It was full of flavor and I'm glad I chose it! I didn't know what wine to choose and my served gave me two samples to choose from which was nice. The appetizer I got was the spinach dip (forgot what it was called) but it was really good. I thought the portion wasn't worth $12. The portion was not enough for the bread they provide either. Can't wait for my next visit

Went here recently with a girl friend before seeing a movie. Had grilled chicken with asparagus which was amazing. We both got so excited when the waitress brought the desserts to pick we immediately picked the chocolate cake with a warm lava filling and ice cream on top. Must say the best cake ever had. Just think explosive orgasm in your mouth lol. Been here for dinner. Beautiful atmosphere. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Brio really gets me with their Happy Hour menu, which FYI the times have changed it's 3:00-6:30! Prices have changed, but no biggie, food is still as good, and they added a few new items. The service has been pretty good in my past experiences, except for the one time I once had a waiter who was pretty rude and snappy. I'll excuse that individual for that time. Other than that, the other waiters I had were really nice and attentive. Now let's talk drinks. My personal favs were the Italian Lemonade, it literally tastes like Lemonade. Very light and crisp. Can't even tell there was alcohol, which may be a good thing or bad. Don't drink too much of it ;) The White Peach Sangria (fruity) and Sangria Rosa (not as fruity, but has hints of sweetness) were also pretty good. Also get the Lemon Basil Crush. This was definitely my favorite! Food. Order everything and share it with everyone. That's what I usually do with my group of friends. Sharing is caring ;) -Beef Carpaccio: One of my favs. If you don't like raw meat, I would advise against ordering this. It's thin, and I mean thin slices of beef that is laid with a bed of greens, and a mustard-aioli dressing. Super yummy. -Tomato Magherita Flatbread: It's like eating a caprese but on a, yup, flatbread. I like that the flatbread is thin, it's like a one level up of a chip :P -Crispy Eggplant Fries: Newest item. Really good, especially with the creamy horseradish sauce. Typically horseradish is a bit strong for my liking, but this really complimented the eggplant fries well. -Brio Burger: This burger is legit. Well brio legit ;) I really like it all because of that roasted tomato mayonnaise, and the house made potato chips. -Black Pepper Shrimp: 3 of the best all in one delicious bite. Hints of spicy ness, crusted eggplant, and cream sauce. Mm, mm, good! Alright alright, go on and enjoy the HH. Have a drink or two for me ;)

The atmosphere is nice but the food is subpar. I got the classic pomodoro (nothing else on the menu looked appealing) and it was bland and borderline unappetizing. My husband got the tilapia and he barely ate half, it was flavorless and salty. The only thing I enjoyed was the Caesar salad, but you would have to be really bad to be able to screw up a Caesar salad. You can get more variety and better dishes for half the price across the street at Olive Garden. And I wouldn't eat at an Olive Garden if you paid me. Skip Brio, it's not worth it. Head to Prato in Winter Park if you want to spend this much on a meal and actually enjoy it.

Had the brunch at brio today. My friend and I shared the Sicilian omelet and the French toast with fresh berries. Yum, yum, yum! The portions were great for sharing. The food was delicious. Our server, Arthur, was great! He was very personable and made our brunch suggestions. It was a delightful dining experience. The prices are also very reasonable. It had been a while since I had been to Brio but I will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend it.

Came in as a party of 5 and I didn't get my entree until nearly an hour later and after all my friends had finished eating their food. Manager (TJ Bennett) went to the wrong table to apologize and then fails to come to me to apologize, only to make me wait another 15 mins to finally apologize. Gave me a half ass excuse to why my food came out so late and rudely snarled as he walked away. Of course I asked to get my food to go since all my friends had already finished eating. Terrible experience as I was left hungry and furious.

Friendly staff from the moment we walked through the front door. It was colder inside then it was outside, so we decided to eat outside. But from what we saw of the inside it looks very nice in there. Eating outside at winter park village is a bonus though. I really have no reason to take a star away. Other then maybe the menu didnt have as much on it as I would of expected. a single page, one side drinks, the other side food. I still found three items that I had to choose from. Also the prices can be a little higher on several items then you might find at other less classier restaurants. What we got wasn't expensive. app $10, 1 dinner $14 other dinner also $14 I believe. but a lot of stuff is $20+.. But this place seems a little more upscale so I guess thats perfectly reasonable. Especially after seeing the menu online. a lot of it looks really good. Waiter told us his name but no name tag so I cant remember what it was. But service was great. Definitely stop in here before or after catching a movie at the theater a few hundred yards away.

Happy hour from 3:30-6:30 has decent prices for appetizers, a couple of specialty cocktails, and a couple of cheap meal options ($5 burger). It was a nice after work stop, but I wouldn't come here outside of happy hour. The food is basic. Portions are large, especially at the happy hour prices, but it's relatively bland and feels like a chain restaurant. I did have the kale Caesar salad which was pretty good, especially in comparison to the oily flatbreads. Our service wasn't great and the staff around the happy hour bar area seemed busy and overwhelmed. Maybe would try again, but why bother when Marlows Tavern is right down the street.

This place was great! The restaurant was beautiful on the inside and the service was great! My soup came out quickly and my entree came before I even finished my soup. But both my lobster bisque and lobster and shrimp linguine were DELICIOUS!!! My friend also loved his dish but I can't recall the name. We came right around dinner time so it got very busy after we had been seated. We were lucky we came when we did! I'd definitely recommend this place.

Came here on a Friday night on a whim with the wife around 9pm. We were sat in the uncomfortably cold dining room promptly. Unfortunately, that was the only prompt service we experienced all night. It took our server several minutes to even get drink orders. We ordered some drinks and he came back some time later to get our orders. I got the Pasta Brio and the wife got the pasta ala vodka. We didn't see our waiter for the next 20 minutes until shortly after the pasta was delivered. Neither of our pastas were very tasty. It was cooked well and came out hot, but the vodka sauce is probably the most bland we have ever had. The Brio was so forgettable, 6 days later I am struggling to remember anything about it. Both of us ran out of water fairly soon and never got refills because of our missing server. Eventually got the check and... reeeeeally not worth the $70 we spent. I've had better italian food for $7 at Fazoli's. Should have driven the extra mile up the road and gone to Buca di Beppos.

The food is always great! Service is friendly & fast. The newer happy hour menu isn't as good as the old one and we weren't served any bread to munch on while we waited. I understand the prices had to go up a little, but I am a very disappointed that some of the really good happy hour items such as the spicy shrimp & eggplant along with the capri salad are no longer available on happy hour at all. Those are the items that kept me coming back & now they're not even on the menu. The new happy hour menu is ok, but for the people that were used to the old one, now it's just lacking.

Brio Happy Hour. Fantastic!!! We started with an array of apps. Flat breads, ravioli's,spin dip, egg plants fries, caprese salad and finished with great burgers. All washed down with great adult beverages. Travis was our server. He worked his way up from a busboy to a great server. Great job Travis!!!!

I have never been to the one in West Hartford here in CT but may consider it after traveling to FL (not just for Brio). we sat right near the half wall where they kept the display dessert selection, so we had a blast keeping him from knocking it over. overall a great experience and he eventually used the wall as a runway for toy planes.

Brio is an upscale type of Italian chain. We came as a large group and the service was good. The food was great except lots of salt, this even came from my dad who puts salt on salt. I have eaten here before and didn't remember the food being so salty but my fish and the spinach was very salty, so was most of everyone's meals. It was still good, but I never put salt on anything. Overall, good food and great service. We enjoyed out visit and walked away stuffed.

My husband and I ate here for dinner this evening, I had the roasted lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus $28.95, he had the 8oz. filet with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables $28.95 and Sam Adams for $5.25. The lamb was delicious, yum! The steak was so tender and flavorful I almost wish I'd ordered it. The mashed potatoes were disappointing, like Betty Crocker out of a box disappointing. The asparagus and mixed vegetables were fine. I ordered a carrot cake dessert mini $2.99 which was very good. Total for 2 people was about $70 plus tip. Pricey but let's be honest, we got high quality cuts of meat. You can get a pasta dish for $14.95 and be happy. I almost forgot to mention the customer service, it was excellent. Our server's name was Sterling. He had a female helping him and two different managers stopped by to check on us. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because the side dishes were truly disappointing. Side dishes matter. For example, the au gratin potatoes at Bonefish Grill are epic!

So I have severe allergies to dairy. I stop breathing. I explained that before ordering my food. I made sure to put a note to the server and to the chef about my allergies. So they put feta cheese on my food and covered it up with more pasta. I tasted it and had to spit it out. I had to let my server know. I had ordered penne pasta with spinach , mushrooms , tomatoes and garlic with spice. And they had tried to cover up the cheese that they put on my food. Before the gentleman that brought me my food set the plate down I asked does this have any cheese, cream , butter or dairy in it and he said no. Good thing I play with my food and discovered the hidden cheese. So my server take the food away and they fix me a new plate. The pasta was barely cooked, the vegetables were raw, there was no salt on it. It was towards the end of the evening so I guess they just wanted to get out of there and they just put something together as quickly as possible. I understand dealing with food allergies is difficult. But I was starving and I payed full price for my meal. It would've been nice when the manager came over that he discounted the plate for the wait, but that didn't happen. It would be nice to discount or comp the meal after the restaurant tries to kill you. But no such luck. If you have any food allergies or sensitivities this is not the place for you. They cross contaminate, and try to roll out the food as quickly as possible. The millennia location is much better. And the prices are too expensive for the quality of food that you get.

I'd have to say "Meh". I've had a lot better, Brio feels like Italian food... American version. The food is quite salty, which in my opinion is just bad since its easier to add salt than take it out. I downed my water and Strawberry Basil Lemonade like there was no tomorrow. For two we got the Calamari, the Risotto and the Omelette (yes, I know right?). The calamari was the best part of the meal, it came with a ranch sauce and a marinara sauce. The squid was very tender and the batter was flaky. The risotto however... was a disappointment. The rice was undercooked, and it was overly salty, blegh it was just terrible and the the portion size was small. On to the Omelette, it was not bad but for $12, I expected a lot more food on the plate. IHOP even has better omelettes, and that's pretty sad. What ruined my meal was the service, it was busy but our server was pretty rude... not to mention slow. Never got water refills even when asked. All in all, unless you're stuck in the mall escaping the heat with no method of transport, don't go here...

Easter Brunch The menu was limited for brunch items, but plenty of options from the standard menu. I was surprised the restaurant was not crowded, but this worked well for us. We ordered Eggs Benedict and the Garden Omelet. The Eggs Benedict were delicious. I appreciated that they were not saturated in hollandaise sauce and the fresh biscuit was a pleasant take on a standard english muffin. The Garden Omelet was congested with fillings and I thought I tasted vinegar in the eggs. Service was snappy and the time from being greeted at the podium to grabbing a mint on the way out was 30 minutes.

Where do I start?? Well for 1 the place was empty. Me and my two friends had to wait 10 mins just to be seated. One woman was on the phone and the other guy said that was her job to seat us. Then we get this crazy waitress who doesn't know where to even find her ass. She doesn't have good server etiquette. I wanted to order a Sangria and she was so worried about getting us water. Then after we put our order in we sat and waited for about 20 mins she came back and said she lost her book as soon as she took our order. And we were pissed because we had movie tickets. We strategically planned dinner before the movie. We would have plenty of time. After one of the people in our party served her some attitude to show how pissed we were she became defensive saying it wasn't that long ago she took our order. Uh... Hello!!! As soon as you take an order you put in in right away!!! This place was empty, I'm telling you. What the hell was she doing?! I've never eaten at Brio but I'll tell you something. I NEVER will! In winter park? This is in no way acceptable! There's too much competition for fine dining in winter park to slack like this. This isn't the tourist district with transient patrons. You should be focused on retaining customers.

This is a great place for happy hour if your looking for food... not drinks! lol $2.95 dishes what more can you ask for! My favs is the brio burger and the carpaccio. The carpaccio is always a must!! If you're not here for happy hour, then you must try their romano crusted chicken salad. Its my favorite lunch dish to get! Most of their menu is good to choose from. The italian wedding soup is also a winner. Some how I end up going on days they don't serve it which is so sad, but I can live with that.

Olive Garden who??? (It will make you say this) I love the decor of this place. Very beautiful. They have a great happy hour from 3p-7p and 9 til closing daily Mon-Fri at the bar. Only 2.95 each! I went to the website (and trust me you wan to do this) and signed up for their club. They send you coupons and on your birthday they send you a coupon for a free meal. How sweet is that?! It tells you on the coupon what you will get. I tried the pasta here and for the first time I had pasta that was light and very fresh. Even the sauce on the pasta was vibrant and light. Once I finished my meal, I didn't feel like I was weighed down (very important in my book because I don't like to eat and feel sleepy or go straight to sleep). Sign up for their mailing list. If you are trying this place for the first time I recommend going to happy hour and trying some of the food (see photos of 2.95 food).

I had lunch today with my sisters. Rios is a bit pricy but worth it. The food and service were outstanding. The weather was awesome so we ate on the patio. I started with the minestrone soup and then I had the Chicken Parmesan, one sister had the lasagna and my other sister had the crab and shrimp cakes. Everything was delicious.

We held the rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law at Brio this past Friday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff was extremely attentive, the food was delicious, and ambiance was perfect for this time of year. The manager came over to our table in the semi-private room and informed the younger kids that there were some Elves on the Shelf hidden throughout the restaurant and if they could find them, they would receive a free sundae... what a kid pleaser! The food was fair, and nicely portioned, if slightly over priced. The pre-meal bread was soft and tasty, although the accompanying crackers (or is it flatbread?) were very salty. They were served with a plate of soft butter, although I would've preferred an olive oil concoction. While the food was decent, the service was absolutely terrible. My date and I arrived at 5:15 on a Sunday, certainly not prime dining hours. Once we were seated outside however, we received absolutely zero attention for over 10 minutes. I stopped one server who was walking by and asked for water. He never returned. A few minutes later, I stopped a second server passing by and again asked for water. A third server eventually came by a few minutes after that with the water. At this point, it had taken over 20 minutes just to get our water. A manager came and said she noticed our wait, and offered a complimentary appetizer or dessert. I accepted the gesture, but quite honestly I didn't care at this point. 25 minutes in, and I had alread spoken to 4 different people. The server who took care of us the rest of the evening was very prompt and courteous, so we didn't hold the bad start against him. But in my opinion, there is on excuse for such poor service for the must rudimentary restaurant tasks. All we wanted was our server (whoever that was originally) to come and offer some water. I don't plan on returning to Brio. There are plenty of other fine Italian restaurants in the area, such as Prato in Winter Park, or Il Pescatore in Orlando.

Having been here twice in the last 6 months, I'm simply going to focus mainly on one aspect of their menu - the roasted lamb chop, while not quite "to die for", is a huge bargain. At $26, it was the full rack (count them - 8 ribs) and done quite nicely on the grill (part of one was a little burnt the first time). Sure enough, the second time, they'd jacked up the price to $28 - but it's still a bargain. The last time I looked, RAW a full rack of lamb costs over $20 at Costco. Second time I had the pork chops while wife and daughter chomped on the lamb chops, and those pork chops were a good portion that tasted yummy as well. The starch/veggies that accompany were a good quality and fresh. I usually pan small shot glass desserts, but theirs I consider reasonably priced and tasty. The white paper on top of the paper is borderline cheesy, but I guess lots of restaurants do it these days. My only complaint is the waiter "correcting" my pronunciation of bruschetta when she took care to pronounce it differently while repeating my order. My recommendation to wait staff everywhere is to just not get embroiled in any such controversies, even if you're 100% convinced you're in the right. You don't win! You could PO a customer big time. The restaurant hired you, and the customers are paying/tipping you, to be wait staff, not language arts teachers. It's all the more aggravating when your "correction" is actually the one that's wrong: all self-respecting foodie-types, Italian-speaking or otherwise, know that there's a 'SKET' sound in the "bruschetta" - no SHET (pun intended)!

We made the mistake of going to the late happy hour. It was really dead at the bar and upon walking in and we noticed that several tables had not been bussed. Our waitress greeted us immediately and offered us happy hour menus however left just after we placed orders. She explained everything in a handoff however she left us in the care of a single bartender who was pouring drinks for the entire restaurant. He was so overwhelmed he was sweating and all of his coworkers seemed to be in limbo. They congregated several times nearest to the bar as he continue to work diligently. Not only were the tables not being bussed but there were patrons just waiting for things and we became one of those same groups. Items I normally ordered for the past several years at this Brio's location and others were underseasoned and undercooked or cold. When asking for condiments from the food runner he never returned so we waited nearly 10 minutes for the bartender to ask how we were to notice we were still waiting on things like ketchup. My friends drink ran dry and I couldn't enjoy anything. So we began to look around and sadly looked up. All of the air-conditioning vents nearest to the bar are covered in mold. There has always been a stale odor in the bar area but I never suspected that it was something like that. Just the idea that our food and drinks were exposed to that air made us repulsed. Sadly had we been given the right amount of service we would have continued to order drinks, food and not been looking around. We did complain to management about the lack of service but complemented the bartender who was really struggling to make people happy. The manager comped what we did consume which left us in an awkward place with the hard-working bartender because we had no method of payment in which to tip him at least for his efforts. As we were leaving tables that had been covered in plates cups etc. just began get bussed and we'd been there over an hour. I couldn't bring myself to mention the ceilings and air vents that we noticed simply being bored. I will not be returning to this particular location until they acknowledge there is a serious problem with not only the environment and atmosphere but their quality of food and level of service. The place is understaffed and gross. The management aloof otherwise and on a Friday it should have been to capacity. There are reasons people aren't crowding the place as before. Someone needs to address the issues in that building before it simply closes from inactivity and violations.

Have to admit that I haven't been here for a while. Also, must say that I don't think I've ever really been disappointed while dining at Brio's and this time was no exception. As you would expect, the service was good and the food was very good! I won't say it was exceptional or even excellent, but it was definitely a quality meal and surely a value. I had the Carbonara. While this was not a completely traditional Carbonara, it was very enjoyable. My friend had the special of a Crab-encrusted Grouper over potatoes. It looked lovely and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I must admit that I was slightly surprised as I expected them to charge a little more than the $23.95 for the Grouper and it was a nice size filet at that. Love their bread and the only thing that seemed a little off to me was that, if I'm correct, I remember them serving more of an assortment of breads/flatbreads than we received. But even that didn't detracted from the meal and dining experience. Will surely be returning for another fine meal!

My friend wanted to go here as he had never been. This was my third time here. We were initially going to be seated by the kitchen which was very loud and could here kitchen management yelling to have food expedited. The hostess was extremely nice about accomodating our request for a table away from the kitchen. Service was good and very friendly. The food was just ok at best. A bit disappointed with the calamari - way too much batter. Ordered the lamb chops med rare - they were served rare. Blackening season on fish was over powering. Can't say that anyone raved about their entrees. We wouldn't discount returning. It's just not going to be on our list for awhile.

Brio is very consistent. What's so great is that you can either sit down comfortably in the dining room when you're in the mood for a bigger meal or grab a lighter, inexpensive dinner at the bar during happy hour. The lobster bisque and shrimp and eggplant are my go to options. Service can sometimes be a little slower than I'd like, but in their defense they're a super busy place and the staff is always polite. You never get a sense that they've forgotten about you.

This was my second visit to this particular Brio. And my third visit to any Brio. I was once again happy with my food. The sourdough bread & butter is a delicious start to the meal. I also tried a Peach Bellini & it was very refreshing. If you sign up for their email list they'll immediately send you a coupon for a free Bruschetta Quattro with the purchase if two entrees. It's a sampling of 4 of their bruschetta & it's amazing. I love trying the variety. And they always have season bruschettas so it changes every time. I ordered the Ensalata Brio from the lighter menu. I've had it every time & I love it. It's light but filling. The roasted vegetables were some how a little bit too roasted tasting this visit. And it permeated the salad too much. I has a bite of my Mom's flatbread & thought the crust was too burnt so maybe ask for the flatbread less well done. My Grandma ordered the Brio Burger & said it was wonderful, too.

Move over Olive Garden, Carabbas and the rest. I went last night with a friend and we satin the bar area. Wait for it....the 1st O-woww factor: $2.95 bar specials on 9 different appetizers! On this trip I had (pictures posted): Ravioli Caprese: Romano crusted ravioli topped with tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella and a cilantro pesto drizzle (A+++), as well as Roasted Red Pepper & Fresh Mozzarella Bruschetta: With fresh basil, Parmigiano-Reggiano and a balsamic drizzle (A). The 2nd O-woww Factor: I signed up for their mailing list and for my birthday received...drum roll please....not some dessert, not an appetizer, but their Mare E Terre "Surf & Turf": An 8 oz. filet grilled to order with our crab and shrimp cake (Lump crab and Gulf shrimp cakes with roasted vegetables and creamy horseradish), vegetables and crispy potatoes valued at 29.95. AND IT WAS AWESOME! I ate every last bite and was super pleased and would definitely do it again. My entire bill was about $6 after my free meal. Service is great, server was super attentive the whole time and helped my friend choose her drink and meal and we both left stuffed and ready for a nap. I will definitely go back. Second suggestion: Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops Center-cut, marinated in-house and seared on the grill, with mashed potatoes and asparagus 19.95...I've never gone wrong with this. On occasion I've ordered other things and had buyers remorse and switched it out for the chops. Between this and their filet you cannot go wrong!

Had a rough time with a waiter here once...the recovery from the manager...4 thumbs up...wait...haha - you know what I mean, very impressive! The GM, James, is so overwhelmingly nice and always stopping by all the tables to say hello. You can tell he truly cares about customers experience. During our rough experience, the restaurant was extremely busy and it was a Friday evening so it was the dinner before a movie rush for sure. However, the mix ups were with our order, not so much slow service. Orders were taken wrong and plates were not coming timed correctly. At one point 3 people had their entree while 2 others were waiting for theirs and it took over 10 minutes. By the end of the evening the manager came over and took care of 2 of our checks since there were so many mix-ups and that was without any complaining =) Good move James!! He was apologizing for not stopping by earlier to apologize for the mix up and wanted to make up for it. On a return visit he was doing his rounds at the table and I called him by name and he looked at us and said...you were the ladies I comped a few weeks ago right? Memory = impressive! He was extremely nice and chatted with us for a while. At the end of our dinner the server brought us EVERY dessert on the menu and we didn't even order it. He said it was compliments of James...sigh...i adore amazing customer service. Of course we devoured each and every one, it was scrumptious! I hit up this location at least once a month as they have won me over with their customer service and the food is pretty fan-tab-ulous too =)

My wife's Capanelli Carbonara was very well made and very filling. My Chicken Milanese was perfect the chicken was crispy outside and tender inside and also very filling. The perfect ending was the Mascarpone Cheesecake is to die for. No wonder why the place was packed for lunch on a Wednesday, will definitely come back.

Who does not love Italian food? I sure do! Brios is a little restaurant joint hidden in a plaza of 17-92 in Winter Park called Winter Park village along other restaurants,shops and even a movie theater. The food is high class meaning it is a bit expensive and you don't get a lot for your money but it is fresh and very good. I had a pasta with cheese inside and a vodka sauce kind of like the one Bertolli makes but better, the pasta was very good but nothing out of this world and that dish it self was worth $15 bucks. I also had an appetizer I shared with everyone else called "Bruschetta Quattro" witch is a sampling of four housemade Bruschettas, some had chorizo with roasted red peppers and others had fresh Mozzarella. The service was EXCELLENT and the place is great inside, we made reservations so we did not have to park and there is valet parking so we also do not have to park our car.

Food here is pretty good but if you are looking for authentic Italian this is not the place. Prices are too high for the quality but it is a chain and it is Winter Park so its what to be expected I suppose. If my review was based off of service alone I would have given it zero stars. I work nearby so when I'm in the mood for italian i always think i'll just give them another chance and more often than not I am disappointed. Multiple times i have ordered a salad and it has taken over an hour to get it! I have had to complain a few times...and i'm ususally the last person to complain since i've worked in the service industry before...but the time it takes them to cook food is ridiculous. The happy hour deals on food and drinks are great but overall i tend to avoid Brio since the food/service quality isn't worth a 2-3 hour meal.

Bad overall experience: 1) Restaurant was slow and host was nowhere to be found. A woman from the party who walked in behind us had to go into the restaurant to find the hostess, then she seated them 1st. Since the lady who tracked down the hostess was old, we didn't make a fuss. 2) Decided to sit in the bar instead. The bartender had to wait 3 tables, service a couple at the bar plus service drinks for the whole restaurant. As a result we had various servers from other parts of the restaurant pitch in to help with our table and the service was slow. 3) The kid's burger was over cooked and bc no one was really watching for our food to come out of the kitchen, it sat (away from the heat lamps) until it was cold before it was delivered to our table (we could see it sitting in window ready for a server to bring it to us). 4) No one enjoyed their food. The lobster bisque was simply bisque with appr. six tiny pieces of lobster and the overall quality of the food was poor. 5) I could go on but not worth the time to write more. Think you get the picture. For years, Brio was one of my favorite places to eat. Perhaps it was a bad day. Beware before you visit, especially if the restaurant is empty and on chill mode.

Hadn't eaten here in awhile, so decide to give it a try again. First off, if I could give it 3.5 stars, that is where I would be. Service was great - no problems at all. The atmosphere is also nice although a little loud. What got me was the off tasting seafood. I don't know if it was old or what, but it was definitely not good. I tasted some calamari that someone in my party got, and it was fishy tasting. Probably the only thing that made it palatable was the fact that it was fried. By then, I had ordered the mixed grill with shrimp. I noticed the smell as soon as they brought it out. I couldn't wait to get that aftertaste out of my mouth. The chicken and steak was ok. The bread, pasta and brushetta was very good. You would think a place like this would have at least decent seafood. (Hint: You can get really fresh seafood maybe 50 miles away at Port Canaveral.)

I liked this place. The wait on Saturday night is reasonable. The server was as good as it gets and the manager came by to not only ask how the food is, but also the service. I wish they did that in other restaurants. I love getting the opportunity to complain. All I ordered was the Lobster Bisque Soup (fantastic) and Brio Chopped Salad. My friend managed to convince me to try the apple cider martini with her and I was majorly impressed. I really want to go back on a Wednesday night and check out the happy hour. Tip: When in doubt, overdress for this place. You won't regret it. oh and the bathrooms get nine out of ten stars

Love going to Brio, but lately seems they aren't consistent. This is apparent enough that it was a topic of conversation. And those of us at the table at dined here a few times in recent months, but separately, not together. So interesting that we all had the same experience. However, at this dining experience on a Saturday evening, we had who we all agreed was the best server in Winter Park. Tom gets five stars. He is who helped the restaurant get an overall 4 star rating. Without Tom, most likely would've been 3 at the most. Tom was young, most likely college age, but his polish, friendliness and attentiveness were incredible. A frozen lettuce salad? No problem. Tom was off, returning with another most palatable salad within minutes. Water and beverage refills right on time. He never missed a beat. But truly his most impressive feature was his personality. He was just a pleasure. If they could just clone him... Because the hostess station at the front -- where you'd expect the most attentiveness and a welcome warm greeting -- was less than. Asked if my dining companions -- my parents -- had arrived yet, giving her their name as I knew they'd made a reservation. She seemed overworked and not too interested and waved her hand behind her, motioning to the restaurant offering that I was welcome to look around and find them. Keep in mind there was no one waiting for a table or in the hostess stand area. When I couldn't, I came back and asked again if she would mind checking the reservations list, because the first time I asked it seemed she couldn't. She briefly looked, but again, not with much enthusiasm. I walked again, found my parents outside in the far back. They said they had asked the hostess to look out for me and let me know where they were. While I didn't really expect a hostess to do this, there was no other guest at the hostess stand, so a little more consideration would've be nice. Back to the food. All three of us had issues with our entrees, which was par for our discussion when we first sat down to dinner. Hope they fix these!

Wow, this place is great! What an impressive restaurant! My handsome date and I both ordered the same dish, the Chicken Limon. It was the perfect choice and wonderfully delicious! The chicken was tender and infused with a nice lemon tangy flavor. It came on a bed of vegetables which were also nicely seasoned with that same lemon taste. The first thing I thought as the dish was presented was how huge the serving was. It really was an amazing dish! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! I also had the lobster bisque soup which was creamy and smooth and so flavorful. The service was exceptional with friendly staff! The restaurant itself is classy and although it get's pretty busy, I still found it to be intimate in a lot of ways. I really enjoyed my experience at Brio and will definitely be back in the near future!

I must like this place because I became The Duke today, so now I'm important. The truth is that it's a decent restaurant with a rather spicy BBQ Chicken Pizza. The environment is comfortable, the service is adequate to good, and the managers have been out checking to make sure people are having a good experience. All of that is nice, but I come here for the food. It's always been well prepared and presented. As I mentioned, the BBQ Chicken Flatbread is spicy with a selection of bold peppers. I've tried everything from the Chicken Milanese to the Grilled Salmon and always been pleased. That's no small feat, as I'm a picky eater who often doesn't like the selections I find in a restaurant. The only slight issue I have are the seating arrangements. No booths, and every table makes me feel like I'm sitting in the middle of the restaurant floor. I prefer having some quiet place where I can get away from everyone else, but that's not going to happen here.

Sloooowwwww. Took 20 minutes to be greeted. Food took AN HOUR to come out. And I don't mean an hour after we arrived, I mean an hour after we ordered it. Food was delicious but when you are almost 2 hours into the "experience" and starving...I could have eaten a shoe soaked in alfredo sauce and been happy. The worst part is, they never really seemed to realize how slow they were. I kept waiting for one of the servers or the manager to acknowledge how slow it was, but nothing. Maybe they are going for the "true" Italian experience...3 hour meals.

I just want to say that I have no complaints. I went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't crowded at all, and the waiter even sat us in our own section (it was a date and all). They never rushed us or seemed pushy. As an appetizer, we had the stuffed peppers, which were different from a traditional stuffed pepper, but still very delicious. As an entree I had the chicken speidini, and again, delicious. I'm not usually a mashed potatos person, but I couldn't resist a couple bites of theirs. My date had the mixed grill and he devoured the whole thing. The decor was beautiful, the wait staff was on task and quick to help us, and I would definitely recommend this for a date night or even a nice dinner with family.

Went there a couple of months ago to celebrate a Birthday party. It was really packed but we had a seperate room to sit in. The food was quite delicious but a tad bit pricey. The servings were good and fresh tasting. I had the three crab patties with the veggies, a very tasty bisque and good appetizers. The waiter service was diligent and nice. We came here for lunch on a Sunday, this was my first time here. The atmosphere is really nice! Also they have a brunch menu YAY! So one of my friends ordered the french toast from the weekend brunch menu and I ordered the Shrimp over the orzo they have on their lighter menu. I enjoyed my meal, but i REALLLLLY enjoyed the french toast. Its filled with a cream I would say its almost like bavarian cream filling, and topped with fresh berries. It tastes great without the syrup and even better with maple syrup! Definitely a nice place to come on the weekend for a light lunch or weekend brunch. If the weather is nice outside, sit outside ITS SOOOOO MUCH nicer to sit outside since inside is a bit dark for the daytime..

Our waiter consistently screwed up all of our drink orders and checks, but the food was excellent. I had the salmon and my mouth is still watering for more. When asked for a recommendation, he instantly pointed to the most expensive thing on the menu. Looking for a bigger tip maybe? I thought so. They certainly know how to present food, and are good at stacking it and making it look presentable. Luckily, the food tasted just as good as it looked. Everybody in my party of 6 said they enjoyed their food. I had the salmon- yum. Make sure you get a reservation because the line is always out the door.

Just had an amazing experience at this Brio location!!! The food was wonderful, especially the spicy shrimp eggplant appetizer, but what made the experience was the service! From the moment we walked in the door with a party of 5 without a reservation on a holiday and they went out of their way to find place for us to the exceptional service from Cameron we couldn't have asked for more. The manager was so phenomenal! If you haven't been in awhile you might want to find your way back! And if you've never been, definitely a must do! We'll be back!!!!

Didn't have a very positive experience here. Went for lunch with friends. Ordered from the gluten free menu. Got pieces of pasta in my food which were not gluten free. The manager tried to make it right and offered to cook me something else but by that time, I had already eaten some and was afraid to try my luck again. My friends food was good. It was not a busy time and they should have been more careful not to cross contaminate my food, but that didn't happen. The manager was very apologetic and gave me a coupon for next visit. I hope the cook and staff take their gluten free menu more seriously next time.

I've had better, especially at other Italian places in Orlando. My husband and I first came to Brio at Mall at Millenia to try Sunday Brunch a few years ago. Overall, that experience was "meh." We deduced that Brio would not make the Sunday brunch rotation, due to the fact that they refused to serve us mimosas or bloody marys in the dining room before noon. WTF do you think Sunday Brunch is?!?! One of my girlfriends and I came to the Millenia location for a fun girls night out shortly after the brunch fiasco, and she went home and had FOOD POISIONING! NOT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My family and I dined at the Winter Park Brio recently. While sharing the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, my father bit down on a huge shard of white CERAMIC. WHAT THE %&$( is that doing there?!?! Somehow, it made its way into our appetizer, which is totally NOT COOL!!!!!!!!!!! We also ordered the calamari appetizer, which was totally greasy and nasty. The calamari weren't even coated in breadcrumbs properly!!! Our server was also not 100% on top of ensuring everyone had drinks and was good to go: my brother and my husband were both sitting around with empty glasses and not asked whether they wanted refills or not, and it seemed our server wasn't totally with it!!!! I'm not sure we'll come back again, having had less than stellar experiences at both Winter Park and Milennia.

Had a coupon for a free appetizer and I have been wanting to eat here for a while. I like the atmosphere and decor here. One of the Chefs came around to the tables and was chatting with us, He was really cool. The bruschetta sampler had some tasty selections. I liked the steak one the best and the shrimp one least. My main dish was penne with pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes and a few other things, it was decent but I screwed up when I asked them to put roasted red pepper sauce on it. The sauce gave it the flavor of tomato soup. I didn't try the deserts but they come in little coffee cups, that didn't appeal to me. I've heard they've had problems with service here but our waitress was nice. They have specials on appetizers for $2.95 like 3-6 on weekdays or something. I wanted to also try the brown butter ravioli appetizer maybe next time.

For starters, 2 cocktails for $19 kinda put me in a mood, but I went into the meal open minded. I had calamari and it was pretty good and hot. Ordered the Swordfish skewers as an entree. Don't. Terrible, rubbery, cold, burnt fish over undercooked pasta with vomit sauce. Terrible but friendly service. It was a Thursday night so maybe everyone in the place was new and training, but the other 8 people at my table had crappy food too and they live in Orlando and just wanted to take me to 'nice' Italian restaurant. Chef Boy-ardee is more Italian than this.

Everything I've had at Brio has been delicious. Mediterranean fare from light to hearty, great selection and pleasant dining environment. One thing I thought was a bit odd - when we asked to have 2 glasses of house red, we were told somewhat snobbishly that they don't _have_ house wine. No follow-on suggestion or anything. Ok, I'm sorry if I insulted you by not selecting a vintage by name, but I was really there for the food anyhow. Also our waitress checked how the food was rather late in the meal (we were over half way done) and seemed overly insistent she take back an overcooked steak that was almost done to "make it right." It's nicer when they wait for you to cut into it right away, as otherwise it throws off the "eating dinner together" pace. Anyhow, most of my other servers there have been great, and the food is tasty, so I'd still recommend it. Just order a wine by name :)

Brio has very good food and decor. However, this location has ongoing problems on the level of service. Servers, while very friendly, tend to disappear on you and not tend to the table as they should. Dishes are not cleared in a timely manner. There almost always seems to be problems in the kitchen. But the food is a consistent winner. I can recommend everything on the menu. While not a steakhouse, their steaks are exceptional!

Divine. Divine. Divine! I can't speak enough about my latest meal at Brio. I have had deliciously intense experiences before, but this last one tops them all. On my seafood kick, I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto.... A-MA-ZING!! The best dish I think so far at Brios. Perfect amount, not too much and leaves you feeling satisfied at the end of the meal. Also, had a sweet tooth and heard the Creme Brulee trio was da BOMB! I was not let down, as I savored each and every spoonful of the Creme Brulee. The trio consisted of regular creme brulee, banana/cinnamon, and a Vanilla bean flavor. Bellissimo! To note, from 3:00pm-7:00pm, they have $2.95 appetizers. This is called "Tuscan Treats."

Brio was surprisingly good. I've seen it here for a long time and only recently have I let my curiosity bring me to eat here. First of all, it should be noted that Brio is a rather large chain available in like 17 states or something. So, if you're visiting Orlando, don't make a special trip to come here thinking you're having something unique to Orlando. At Brio, you will get a semi-upscale ambiance, with great service, and good food. I love the hot sourdough bread they bring out with the seasoned flat bread. That stuff can be addicting. For my dinner, I had a delicious pasta alla vodka. It comes with Ricotta cheese, tossed with crispy prosciutto, garlic, basil and a Tomato Parmesan cream sauce for 15.50. M'lady got a shrimp fra diavolo for 15.95 which is a Penne tossed with a spicy tomato cream sauce and green onions. Her meal was bush-league. Edible at best, not delicious. Don't get it in my opinion. Her meal being mediocre was the main reason to lower my estimation of the restaurant. Also, the prices are a little bit too high, particularly for wine glasses. I'm not going to buy a 10.95 glass of pinot noir when I can get a whole bottle at a liquor store for 15. It's a restaurant that's obviously not authentic to Tuscany, but rather a Tuscan-inspired and Americanized set of pastas--some of which are good, and others which are mediocre. Something to consider--I had a great server who was nice and on top of her game. Also, I started with a caesar salad that was surprisingly well-contrived and delicious. It's rare that a caesar salad would impress me, but they have the perfect proportions of ingredients in their fresh salad. You could also get a chopped salad or a wedge of gorgonzola-bacon salad. All you can tack on to your meal for a $3.95 charge. You want a better Tuscan experience? Go to Juliana's Fine Tuscan Cuisine in College Park.

I've eaten here many times at the Millenia location, the Winter Park location definetly had a more intimate setting. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very nice and welcoming. Our hostess even recommended that we watch out step since we had heels on, the floor is very slippery. That is nice that she nipped that accident in the bud! Our server was VERY nice and even joined in our conversation without it being weird or annoying, she had a very possitive attitude about her and she was very funny. We even had a late arrival and she placed her order when the kitchen was only minutes from closing, she didnt' even make it a big deal or mention that in 2 minutes they were closed. I appreciate when people don't rush you...it's HUGE!!! The food was good. I ordered the Swordfish special of the night and I ate it ALL!!!! It was very light, very tasty, cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I do however have two issues with the restaurant. First, I am not a fan of cold butter. If there is butter to be spread onto bread, please make it spreadable. Second, my friend and I both ordered a glass of Reisling and it came cool, but not chilled. Reisling should be chilled... So, all in all, we had a great time, delicious food, good service and great staff. Definetly worth checking out if you want some good chain restaurant Italian food. (WAY better than Olive Garden...just saying)

This place has consistently good food at each of their locations (I've been here and the one in Tampa). The atmosphere is wonderful, soothing, and relaxing; high ceilings, white table cloths. The servers are informed, friendly and patient; hostesses were inviting, friendly and helpful. The starting bread is amazing, and they offer a selection of different types. My favorite meal is the 'Chicken Under The Brick' which is essentially chicken Marsala; it is wonderful every time; the chicken is grilled perfectly and the mushrooms are delectable. Comes with mashed potatoes-YUM! Another favorite is the Chicken Milanese (Chicken Parm). It is a bowl of angel hair spaghetti with some pomordoro sauce and a breaded chicken breast on top. The serving sizes are very generous, so I usually ask for a box at the beginning to box up half of the meal for me to enjoy the next day. A must try; it is one of my absolute favorites!

Across the street from the Olive Garden, and a few minutes away from Buca di Beppo sits another well-known Italian restaurant, or as they say, "Tuscan Grill." Brio is part of the great places Winter Park Village has to offer and won't truly disappoint you if you're hungry and craving garlic. They start your experience with a seasoned flat bread versus breadsticks or standard rolls. It's pretty tasty and gone before you know it if you happened to go with friends. Our server was attentive and friendly. And thankfully, we were able to sit on their patio and watch as other Village patrons passed by. Our entrees came pretty quickly and were good. They didn't knock anyone's socks off, but overall, they were enjoyable. I ordered their fresh fish "del giorno" and was happy with the haddock I was served. The accompaniments were almost more delicious--roasted vegetables and a cheesy risotto. For dessert, they have decided to partake in our country's effort to control portions. Thus, they offer "Dolchinos," little mini versions of popular after dinner delicacies. For instance, you could enjoy their Berry Vanilla Panna Cotta for only $2.25. Or, for the same price, you could try their version of the infamous Italian dessert, Tiramisu. They come in mini-cups and cannot really be shared due to their size. But if you just want one bite, this is the way to go. It's a nice place as far as atmosphere goes and I would hope that you receive the same service I did. But if you want authentic Italian, you might be better off at a local spot.

Brio is a class act with affordable prices and flawless service. The main dining room is a splendid rotunda with suspended diaphanous white fabric. The food is ample and flavorful, and it is easy to park. I went for lunch on a weekday and found the dining room three-quarters full with many locals - which is always encouraging. I had angel hair pasta with herbs and eggplant from the extensive menu, while my companion had the burger. The reason I did not award five stars is that the choices heavily favor dishes with butter or cream sauce, and there was no salad dressing alternative proposed for greens that were overpowered by stronger cheese than I would have chosen. But this is a Tuscan place; and all told, it was a wonderful lunch.

I recently went to Brio after a relatively long hiatus, and I'm disappointed. The service was terrible and my party's food was mediocre. I ordered a simple appetizer and salad, and my calamari came to the table cold and the lettuce wedge was brown and wilted. The exceedingly long time it took the entrees to appear yielded an over-done steak and a cold lamb chops. The waitress apologized, but made no move to contact her manager or give us any sort of discount. I know that a large place like Brio can get hectic, but I've had a much better meal at the Mall at Millenia location.

We went to Brio for the Christmas Brunch, which was decent. It was all laid out in catering pans and heated by those large gel-sterno candles. One thing that was a disappointment - the "grab boxes" for the kids were not well designed. In fact when we went in to acknowledge our RSVP, they barely acknowledged my child's presence. I know that this is a mainly adult restaurant, but when you have kids about, the wait-staff needs to be a little bit more... receptive and helpful when conducting orders, and serving their drinks, getting appropriate chairs, etc. It was super-busy however, so maybe they were "rushed." | No matter. Typically we go here for a Sunday lunch with the older relatives and eat outdoors. It's actually a nice atmosphere in that respect. As for the house wine - at this place they have a wine-list over 30 choices long... to be safe, go with the Riesling, the Chablis and the Chianti if you have no idea what to order. The salad bistecca with cheese and tomatoes is really good - ask for your meat to be cooked medium as it is char-grilled and could be easily over-grilled. Other than that, the Quattro appetizer with flat bread is really good as a starter and the tiny cheesecake glasses are a real treat. This is a good place to take your mother, aunt, girlfriend for a special low-key lunch occassion. Dinner is very noisey and crowded.

Similar to my eating experience at Hot Olives in Winter Park, I eat at Brio every time I am visiting mom. So that would make it about 3-5 times per year. Brio is located in the same mall as movie theater, so this has been our default restaurant many, many times. This specific review is based on my dinner just a few nights ago. We arrived a bit past the dinner rush, at 845pm. There were three of us. -1 Star - First impression on walking in: Why is it Arctic frigid inside? There is, frankly, no logic and it gives a negative physical reaction to the space. Even worse, there was no one at the hostess stand. And though there were only two visible tables in the inside space with patrons, it took a good few minutes for someone to come up and greet us. Then of course it was like EVERYONE rushed to greet us. Weak floor control imo. + 1 Star - The happy hour is both early evening and late night. Appeared to be some good values on the menu but we wanted to sit outside (too cold inside!!) and were told the HHour was only at the bar. Harrumph. - 1 Star - The bread, which the sweet and enthused server told us would take about "Thirteen minutes" did not appear until our food was nearly done. Bummer. - 1 Star - The food portions are too large. It would behoove Brio to make smaller portions and lower the price a bit to encourage people to order multiple courses. Instead, they dilute their price point with the typical $3.95 salad "add-on". I thought that Cheesecake Factory had the corner on tacky food in this particular mall. +1 Star - The ravioli with squash. As an appetizer, you get 7 pieces of ravioli. More than enough. Sauce is rich and buttery and the topping squash bits are just delicious. High recommend & at $9 a bargain! +1/-1 Star - A breakeven on the Garganelli pasta with shrimp and Lobster and the Lasagna. For $19 I would expect more than 4 shrimp and 1 - yes ONE - chunk of lobster. Yeah, it was a lobster claw chunk, but seriously people. Noone needs a plate as big as a laptop full of pasta, either. One of us had the Lasagna Bolognese and it came out in a dish so large that the waiter could only carry that one dish, the others had to be toted by other servers. No wonder Americans are so fat. It was a pretty tasty dish, sure, but again, by making the food so huge, people are inclined to not order other courses and also inclined to eat like pigs. Is this good eating or just ALOT of eating? -1 Star - Music. Why was it the horrible pop music mix selected? Why was it blaring from a speaker right above the table. + 1/-1 Star - Polite but clueless servers. I liked our waitress and believe she did the best within her skill set possible. I fundamentally believe that the lack of strong, skilled, guiding management is a flaw of the table/bus service here. I cannot speak for the bar service as I have not had it yet. The flow of the staff just feels... Poor. Not for lack of enthusiasm, but for lack of... polish. I try to avoid eating at Brio. Not because it is awful, but because it is so "Cheesecake Factory"-ish and that seems to me to be the antithesis of what a decent dining experience ought to be. If I want loud music, grotesque proportions and acceptable but not great food, there are lots of places serving it out all over town. Revised 9may08 Yup, went to a flick today. Mom wanted a snack/drink first. Went to Brio b/c Beluga was not open yet (um , that's stoopid you guys!! it's summer!!). Here is the revised, still two star review based on a quick stop at the bar at 4:15pm on a weekday. + 1 Star - the temperature was all better. Thank heavens. It was a balmy not-sure-but decent. - 1 Star - What the hell is that nasty smell?? Srsly. We walked up to the bar from the front sitting area and I caught a waft, as we approached the bar, of what can only be described as rancid skank. The smell was that of unclean bar mats mixed with a quick wipe of disinfectant and some day old grease. Ick. + 1 Star - Two bartenders. Good. No barbacks - there really should be one who helps out yet had the ballet/footwork down to avoid the hell out of the servers. Our bartender was swift to smile, quick with the happy hour menu and offered mom a wine list. + 1 Star - Wine by the glass. Well it was tasty. Mom had a taste and loved it (Santa Julia Pinot Grigio - hey, to each their own). Kindly served up in a decent but not "fat" serving from the bartender. +1 Star/ -1 Star - The happy hour menu - available only at the bar. I can only attest to the shrimp cocktail. It was *meh*. Yes, for $2.95, it was pretty generous. Contained about 6 shrimp, circled around some pretty dang good cocktail sauce, layered upon some cabbage salad in a standard sized martini glass. The shrimp were okay - a bit overcooked, but nicely chilled and had a dusty of savory seasoning that was a pleasant contrast to the spice of the sauce. All in all, I stick by my 2 stars as above.

My beau and I have dined here a couple of times. The food was great as was the service. The ambiance, however, is not set up for romance so if that's what you are looking for you should look for something more off the beaten path. This restaurant is in the Winter Park Village where parking is always an issue so be prepared to do some walking if you self park. If you're in the mood for some good Italian food on movie night, though, it's worth a stop as the movie theater is conveniently located within the same complex. The walk between the retaurant and the movie theater provides for a nice evening stroll though and you can check out some of the unique shops in the Village along the way. My best recommendation is to make this a weeknight adventure as Friday and Saturday nights are just too busy for it to be enjoyed.

I've been to Brio a few times and I've enjoyed it each time. The brunch is delicious, despite the lack of mimosa specials, and I recommend the Fritatta. At dinner, my mom loved the Bistec. The outdoor seating works great and the free crispy flat bread is so tasty. This location is in the same plaza as the Regal Movie Theater, so Brio is perfect for dinner and a movie.
